Rebecca's Story
Life
The Lord has blessed me with a wonderful, supportive husband and three great children (two boys and a girl). Working part time at home for my church has enabled me to stay home with my children. This is so important to me now because I want to raise these babies (they will always be my BABIES!!), help them build a firm foundation on Christ, and give them many great memories to last a lifetime. I am not sure how long I will be able to nurture them here on earth - I am in remission from Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. I pray for decades more time with my children, but trust God's plan. Everyday is a gift and I try my HARDEST to remember that. The picture I posted is me with my oldest son. All my pics are with my kids, but none are with all three. Bummer. My husband and I love getting together with our friends for game nights, going to Christian concerts that come to our area, and taking car trips with our kids. Sign Language and hope to become an intrepreter one day. My dream would be to intrepret for a Christian event, like Women of Faith or some of those Christian concerts that come to our area. Right now I sign songs at church occasionally. I have started enjoying cake decorating and sewing recently. I love sewing dresses for my precious daughter. She is my "remission" baby, the one that my doctor said I wouldn't be able to get pregnant with because of my treatments. Well, she's proof that God does not work with statistics!
With all that said...I am soooo NOT the same person I was in high school. Boy am I glad that time in my life is over. I know WHO I am now and my purpose in life. I also know WHOSE I am. I would love to re-connect with old classmates, so please feel free to contact me.
UPDATE: Since writing this profile we have been blessed (in Jan 2005) with another precious daughter. And in Feb 2006 I was considered "statistically cured" of my cancer. Woo-hoo!!! It's been a long road!
