Rebecca's Story
Life
Married to Randy Washington for 34 years. Two children (both grads of TAMU) and 2 grandchildren. Have been a teacher, principal, and now teacher educator. We've lived in Austin since 1973 and love it here. Our son, Chris, is an electrical engineer with National Instruments in Detroit. He has a one year old son and another on the way. Our daughter, Stacy, is a teacher of special ed students in a Leander high school.
College

We married our sophomore year, and therefore spent most of our time there simply working and going to school. But we have very fond memories of those days and they have led to a wonderful life together.
Workplace
I'm an educator by trade, and currently train future teachers, helping them obtain their certification. Prior to that, I taught middle school and high school, and was an elementary principal for 7 years. I love what I'm doing, but can retire in 2007. At that time, I hope to spend more time with my grandkids.
