Rebecca's Story

clean house and talk to myself. Read!!! stayed out past curfew, that was a no no in our day I have been in Spartanburg all my life, but we have moved several times. This is the longest we have lived in one house since we were married in 1969. I am collectibles junkie, an animal lover, and I love history. Probably that I have worked in the same place for 37 years, getting ready to retire in April. And that our son became a drug addict by his own choice, and he is a really great free handed artist and could have made a profession of his talent. If I could improve my home, I'd remodel bathroom and add on a sunroom. My dream home would be country style cottage with out any dust, dirty, or cleaning to be done. Can't really think of a teacher at this moment. At this time, I am happy with my life, my family, and getting ready to retire. But taking a few more cruises with my husband and friends would be nice! That children disappoint you but you love them no matter what. If I won $100 million, I'd give a bunch of it to family, friends, favorite charity, then spend the rest on investments, vacations and just splurge on something I haven't done before. My current age is 62. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be DEAD. I was so completely WRONG. I have worked for years, and now I am ready to do something different. Anything but Accounting..working with humane society or helping with children. I think he is still somewhere in Sptbg County..haven't seen him in years. My best friend would tell you I'm a good listener, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as too talkative. I like the clas...Expand for more
sic look..slacks, blazers/sweaters, long dresses. I am not into fads. But I do love my jeans, khakis, and Clark Shoes. Never had a weird job..just the same job. I share my home with husband and a Siamese Cat named Kiza, which I find comforting, funny, and a little crazy at times, for anyone who has ever owned a Siamese Cat, they know what I am talking about.. No trophies. Finished College and maybe do something other than Accounting work. In 10 years, I hope to be retired and traveling. I'm going to get there by hoping my health and husband wil be as good as they are now. We met in 5th Grade, went through jr high and high school together. We both went our separate ways in college, but re connected when I went to work at a job where she was working. Then leaving that job I took another job and she was there AGAIN..and I stayed for 37 years. She left a couple of times, came back and finally retired some years ago. We re connected again, and talked all the time, meet with some other high school friends once a month. We also take shopping trips and cruises together as often as possible. Probaby that I am NOT the quiet reserved person a lot of people thought I was. And that I have been married for 41 one years to the same man, and that he is just the opposite of me...laid back, easy going, while I am always hyper and a work aholic, and I don't drink caffeine, so who knows why I am hyper!! My first job was at a beauty shop, where I got paid $.50/hr to shampoo hair. What I remember most about it is the older ladies getting the blue rinse on their hair!. Rainbow Lake with the family in the summer, just about every weekend.
