Reetha's Story
After graduation...went to SIU majoring in soc.work...(ah...remember Merlin's, Coo Coo's, Quatros Pizza, closing main street down to party, a certain elevator...ok, there are some things we keep secret from our kids!)
Got married, moved to Indianopolis, IN (never did complete that soc work degree). Moved to DuQuoin, IL, then Springfield, IL (Had two children). Moved to Bismarck, ND. Went to RN school. Worked as an ER/Flight nurse in Bismarck. Moved to Paducah, KY--worked as trauma nurse at Western Baptist Hospital ER. Went back to school in 1997 to become a Physician Assistant (North Dakota School of Medicine in Grand Forks ND). Worked as a Physician Assistant in the Emergency Dept., Internal Medicine and currently work as PA in Urgent Care (RediCare) Clinic. I have two children Danielle and Joshua 31 and 29 years old. I have 4 (four!!) grandchildren---who call me GI...Expand for more
GI (no way would I ever want to be called granny). I have a "Bucket List" which is still lengthy...reconnecting with friends/classmates is on my list. I love to read and watch classics like "Gone With The Wind" for the hundreth time---I still think Rhett Butler is the epitomy of what a man should be...ahhhh. I love to travel (especially to a beach). I am still a romantic--love the smell of fresh cut grass and beautiful sunsets and my cabin at the lake where I find serenity, peace and mental comfort. I am multifaceted--I also enjoy scrapbooking, ancestor fact finding (my G-grandmother's Cherokee name was "RedWing"). I enjoy flipping homes---taking something thrown away and make it into something beautiful--perhaps I should have stayed in Social Work!!! Goals: Continue working and making $$$--retire and do something truly altruistic.....3rd world...but with a beach!!!
