Reggie's Story
I was an average student academically. I did just enough to get by. I lettered in Cross Country my first year (Eastern High School at the time) then switched to football. From here I went on to earn letters in football and track. I also participated in Junior R.O.T.C. which really helped me for military service. After high school I served in the U.S. Navy. My R.O.T.C.certificate from King High School entitled me to enter active service two pay grades higher than the average recruite. worked at Chrysler Corp for a while. It was during this period when I earned a Master's degree from Wayne State University. I returned to military service in 1980. Only this time I was commissioned Second Lieutenant U.S. Air Force upon graduation from the U.S. Air Force Officers Training School. I serviced in a variety of positions in logistics and contracts stateside and in the Middle East prior to retiring from active service in 2005 with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. After retirement, I worked as a private business consultant before accepting my present position as Director of Contracts for The Ohio State University in Columbus Ohio..
