Regina's Story
I hope folks remember me as a godly christain young women. The wildest thing I ever did in school was one day toward summer vacation, my gal pals made posters with the numbers 1-10 on them. We sat on a wall on campus and rated the guys as they walked by... and we weren't drinking either. We have lived in LA for two years while my husband took a temp assignment for his job. The biggest surprise is that
I became a lunch lady. I went back to work when my daughter turned six for what I thought would be a shorted lived
job. I have been in the kitchen for 12 years. I enjoy the kids; I do not like the administation and the parents. Those people are crazy. I was hoping to get a job as an instrutional assistant , but the school system is cutting job so I am stuck in the kitchen. I stay there because of the the health insurance since my husband is self-employed.The teacher I would like to see again in Mr Flegger .To be truly happy I would have more money and retire on the beach with my hubby and my family close by. I want a large garden and a beautiful view. What happened to my first crush is that he ran off with his high school chemistry teacher after graduation. He married her six months later. I was at their wedding. The weirdest job I ever had was being a mother. It is also the job I loved the most. What I would do differently is that I would finnish college before I got married.
My current age is 39 and holding. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be dead. I was so completely wrong.
My best friend would tell you I'm loving, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as crazy.
I share my home with just about everyone, which I find enjoyable.I love having a house full of people. My biggest accoplishment, besides my kids, is that I finnally recieved my college diploma last year. I decided to go back to school when my manager at Redland Middle School called me stupid everyday for the 4 years I was there. O...Expand for more
ne day I was talking with a co-worker about taking the manager's test and she said that I was too stupid to be a manager. I decided to go back to school and finnish my degree at the age of 45. It took time but I did it. I have her to thank for that. She inspired me to go back and show her how stupid I was.
In 10 years, I hope to be thinner and out of the kitchen .I'm going to get there by dieting and waiting this down-turn out.
My oldest friend is Phyllis. We still keep in touch.
My first job was at the eatery at white flint mall, where I got paid 3.50 hr to clean up peoples messes. What I remember most about it is I hated it..
I always wanted to be a baseball umpire when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a teacher idea. As it turns out, they were wrong.
If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have advil, coffee, and zoloft to be able to deal with the day-to-day. The kids are OK but the parents are crazy. Also some of the staff annoy me.
My ways of blowing off steam is swimming ,gardening, drawing and cross-stitich and (unfortunately) eating.
I try to dress age appropreate. I think that dressing younger than your age makes one look silly. Can you picture me in a bikini? I know I can't.
My hubby and kids will say that obsession is my dog Pebbles. She is a Tibetian Spaniel and I love her. She is my baby. The kids say I like her better then them. I say that she is grateful for what she gets, she dosen't talk back and dosen't blab what I tell her. I would say that she dosen't whine, but she does and she is spoiled rotten ....like my kids and hubby are.
If I could improve my home, I'd remodel bathroom and add on a greenhouse and an indoor pool. My dream home would be a beach house.
What I have learned from being a parent is to have faith, and never, ever, ever, ever, ever,give-up.
If I won $100 million, I'd give half of it to church and missions, then spend the rest on my kids, my family and a house at the beach in Italy.
