Regina's Story
Hi all.
In grade school, I was the girl who would go kick the boys when they hurt one of the girls. I also had a posse of boys who did my bidding, which included holding Johnny down so I could kiss him.
In middle school, I was the raving maniac running down the halls and a loud mouth in class. I hung around with Jim Coyle.
In high school, I continued as class clown and resident bitc*. I dated Anthony Carozza, offensive and defensive guard on the football team.
I moved to Clearwater, Florida, after I found myself living in my car during the massive depression in Detroit in 1975/76. There I waited tables on the beach and eventually started college after touring Europe and Israel in 1978.
In college, at St. Petersburg College, I was editor of the student newspaper. I also wrote food columns weekly for the St. Petersburg Times (now the Tampa Bay Times) and contiued to wait tables. In 1981, I even worked as a Playboy Bunny!

ewspaper--USA TODAY. Five years later, I was writing the most well-read page in the fourth-largest magazine in the world. That is, I wrote page 2 covering celebrities and entertainment news for USA WEEKEND (circulation at that time was more than 15 million; we competed with Parade magazine).
I married for five years--didn't much like it. No kids--if you remember me, you might know I never wanted any.
I moved around from Maryland to Virginia then to Annapolis, Maryland, where I live now. I also have written for Time-Life Books, Gannet News Service and Washingtonian magazine, Later, I wrote most of the first issue of The Financial Report of the U.S. Government while working at the U.S. Treasury. I also did some writing for Vice President Al Gore's office.
Nowadays, I still do some freelance work. I work full time at Social Security writing pamphlets, public relations materials and the internal magazine serving 65,000 employees. I live one block from the Chesapeake Bay and drive my Miata to work with the top down every day that's possible.
