Regina Speekman:

CLASS OF 1969
University city, MO

Regina's Story

Well first of all I did not actually graduate from U.City. I left in 1968 when my parents moved. But I lived in the area up to age 17. I have lost touch with EVERYONE from my teen years. Sorry to say. I guess I was a hippy or a burn out back then, from Junior High till the time I left. I know I had some friends from that stage of my life. I married at 18 and had a child. It took me till 1986, before I got myself together and at that time went back to school. I finally went back to school and got my Masters Degree in 6 years, while raising a family and working. I have a degree in counseling and was a Substance Abuse Counselor for over 16 years. At this time I am a Probation/Parole officer. I was a real trouble maker in school but totally turned my life around. A lot has changed and I really miss that part of my life ...Expand for more
of having no contact with friends from my teen years. I have a wonderful grandaughter 17 and really push her to keep friends and have explained I have NO contact with friends from the past. She is just awed to hear that and was actually the one that encouaged me to make an attempt to try to find old friends and school mates. It's amazing-she is so wise and I was such a mess at 17. I live south of St Louis and would love to make contact with anyone that remembers me. Liz has promised to download an old and newer picture as soon as she can. So anyone that is interested please contact me. Since I failed to graduate I can not come to reunions-too bad-I would love to see some friends from the past. Please feel free to contact me IF you remember me even if we weren't close friends. Hoping to hear from at least a few people.
