Seems a long time since Rippowam...and that love of the outdoors even then...irresistable tug of cattleman blood from generations prior...took hold in the meantime...drawin me west...tetherin' me to the energy of the land...makin' me smile... I love the lonesome and the remote....just the wind sighing in the trees, and the clatter of horses hooves, or the water dip of the drift boat oar. Fly fishing, hunting, skiing and riding are primary passions, as is weights, writing and photography. I am not much for people, and the ranch is middle of Wyoming nowhere, although I can spell bind a room and have done it a time or two. But I am not partial to crowds. Rhett, age 30--my son...and Jordan, age 33--my daughter. They are terrific...and both were my roomies for 9 years of junior and high school, fun and dad stuff...they had been with my ex....and my lady for 17 years--til 89...down Colorado way....a terrific gal with whom I am still quite friendly....just that two roads diverged in a yellow wood thang for us at that time....I was headed to Montana and Wyoming.....Colorado gettin' way too crowded for my lone wolf taste...and she was set on stayin' put...
