More about Renae:"My dad taught us to share through example which is the most powerful method of teaching. He provided for us and all his "extra" kids. I remember talking to him one night about his hands. I asked him why he didn't put lotion on them to make them soft so they would heal. See, his hands were always cracked and bleeding and looked like one big caulous because he worked with dry sand all day, and that bothered me. How can he work with hands that hurt so bad and that would crack open again just by closing them into a fist? We'd ask him to stay home after going to the Dr. and finding out that he had Pneumonia, but of course he wouldn't. f over our heads. You work for things you want or need, don't rely on others to provide for you. If you tried and you still didn't make it though, he'd be there....and he was; bailing us out of trouble time and time again. After all, no one is perfect, and that's what family is for. Life wasn't always easy in the Borkowski household, my dad demanded respect. Four kids in one house spelled out KAOS! We are close in age, in fact all within 5 years, and we fought. It seemed like we were always in trouble. We'd get grounded and I'd say within 5-10 minutes, we were ungrounded with the words, "just don't let it happen again." We'd get a kiss, a hug, an "I love you" and a go play!" We were never short on I love you's around our house. Those three little words flowed freely everyday. If there was one thing he wanted everyone to know, it was that he loved us, unconditionally. Those words were backed up by the way he lived his life. A jokester, provider, husband, dad, friend, uncle, brother, son, grandpa, co-worker, study buddy.....a man with many roles. A man that is so greatly missed, Edward Borkowski, March 15, 1937 - December 16, 2005.".
