Renay's Story

Life Hellooooo Everyone!!! A lot has happened in my life since high school, but since we only get so many words to work with, writing an ENTIRE autobiography is out of the question!!! I'll start with the basics ... I'm the mother of four children, most of whom are now adults. Anna, my oldest, is my "Failure to Launch." Twenty-three years old and still living at home. She was married, but is now separated, back home and working in Erie. My next child, Dianna (named after Dianne Ross!), is now 19 and the mother of my first BEAUTIFUL granddaughter!!! She is living in Andover and working locally. My son, Steven, is 18 and attending Vo-Ed in Auto Tech. Heather, the youngest of my brood, is 16 and will be studying Precision Machining at Vo-Ed next year. I have been married for 15 years to Terry, who has been employed by Wal*Mart for the past 7 years, since his former employer closed their doors. I, on the other hand, have been forced to become a stay-at-home mom who sidelines as a freelance writer. I was employed by The Gazette for a few years, but my health declined and interfered with my ability to perform the job properly. Sadly, I had to leave my passion behind and work from my home. We live outside of Dorset now, with hopes of finding a larger home soon (closer to the cities!!! LOL!!!) to share with our extended family. We have lots of pests (OOPS! I meant "PETS!") who make up part of our extended family! Two dogs and too many cats ... thanks to my kind-hearted ...Expand for more
kids!!! Strays seem to find their way to my house, for some reason ... Anyways, I haven't seen too many people from school since graduation, except for those whom I keep in touch with on a regular basis. I have been surprised several times by friends who have changed so much over the years, though. You know ... You run into someone at the store (or a bar!) and you don't friggin' recognize this person. Then they tell you who they are, and WHAM! Blast from the past! It's like being back in school all over again ... (Remember so-and-so??? Remember the only football game we won that year??? Remember skipping first-period Bio class with Mr. Billy???, etc.) Yeah, you've all done that ... can't lie about it! Only ... I seem to do it more than others!!! Did I skip TOO many first-period classes??? Oh well ... I DID make it to the two reunions that I knew about, though, sort of. I worked at the Elks during our 10-year reunion, and I was the bar manager at Patio Lounge when nearly everyone showed up after the 20-year reunion. Maybe I'll be able to ATTEND the 30th??? Well, enough about me here. I look forward to hearing from many of you and can't wait to run into another person who I can't remember!!! Update: We moved to Conneaut and I am doing much better health-wise. Kids are well and I plan on attending school soon. Have applied to Knoedler School to become an LPN. Something I should have done YEARS ago!!! Well, procrastination has always been my middle name!!! 1/26/07
