Rene's Story
Life
Right after high school I married and had my daughter. After two years of unhappiness, I divorced, thats when I started to be happy. I worked at several restaurants, and then decided that it was time for a change. I met my present husband, and have been happily married forfourteen years. We have three children, his two boys and my daughter; and they are all in high school. I work for the SBCUSD as an Ed. Assistant, I have been doing this job for eight years and love it. Being able to help special needs children is a wonderful experience. I never knew I had so much patience, until the day I started working with these children. I am going to school to become a teacher. All though I love my work it still comes second best to my family.

w my brother Ernie, also known as my best friend and inspiration, he lives in costa Rica and living well. If it wasn't for him in high school I don't know where my lonely life would have led me. Today he is still my hero, he inspires me to keep striving, and to continue to be the kind, loving, honest person I am today.
Growing up, I remember being angry at my parents for everything, but now that I am a parent, I realize that being stern and loving is important in raising my children. My children have taught me how to feel young, to not take everything seriously and to hold on strongly to my aspirations.
I currently live in Hesperia, Ca. I still keep in touch, faithfully to two of my dearest friends in High School, and I am hoping to get in touch with others.
