Renee's Story

Life Hello from Houston TX ... picture is from job site at Baytown Refinery. This desert rat has been forced to live on the Gulf Coast! When it's humid, it's really hot; much prefer desert dry heat! There is a difference. Not much to say ... glad to be here and interested in hearing from friends! Life story (short version): Married man with 4 kids, so instant family at age 20 ... finished bringing them up, then divorced him. Now on husband #2, no kids, lots of critters. He's in El Paso, TX, and I'm on the road. I'm usually not home enough for phone but do great email. Please write me! College College was not fun ... was always commuting and never experienced college "life". Dropped out in 4th semester at ASU (thanks to a car accident) and ended up in El Paso, TX. d majors (from accounting to civil eng!), fixed a lot of gaps in my education, and finally graduated. Not interested in any more class room time! Workplace Started out in law offices ... and got recruited by ex-husband to work in a printing plant. Went from printing to commercial typesetting (Compugraphic to Mergenthaler to Quadex) to electronic publishing ... finished up in production electronic pre-press in a university print shop. Couldn't stand the march of technology and extremely tight profit margins ... so went back to school and finally (after changing majors, etc) graduated. Now I am working in Project Mgmt and always doing something different. Have a lot to learn about this business ... last project was an office / field assignment. Now I'm back in a different engineering office, and preparing to move out to the field in late 2008.
