Renee's Story
Just wanted to check up on everyone. I really enjoyed the last reunion and was happy to see everyone doing so well.
I guess we are all getting to that age when we begin loosing our parents. My Dad passed just before the last reunion. Esophageal cancer. My Mom passed about four years ago. Small cell lung cancer. I have been retired since I was 48, so I was lucky to be able to take care of both of them all the way to the end. Such precious time.
Both cancers were smoking related. Remember me, puffing away. I sure regret that now. I've been a quitter for some time and am glad to be rid of it.
I'm married for 31 years now. We have a great life. My husband plays a lot of golf and is a retired longshoreman.
We got lucky with some bay area real estate and haven't had to worry about much. I still dabb...Expand for more

Sometimes I still take a dance class at my gym...but it gets less and less. I'm paying the price for years of gymnastics and ballet. Think I'm just about ready for gentle yoga.
Our daughter, Pilar, lives about an hour away so we see her a lot. She has a job she likes and lives in a city she loves.
My sister Twilla lives close to me now. She's the best. My other sister Jill, lives in Denmark. We have visited several times. Last year we spent two weeks in Paris, a dream of mine. I'd go back in a minute.
My brother Chris is a few hours away but we see each other regularly. He has some really great kids and a wife
that I consider my sister. I've been really lucky in so many ways.
