Renee's Story
After high school, I attended Maine Maritime Academy and graduated with a Bachelors of Science and a Degree in Marine Engineering. A week later I was on a 900ft container ship as a third assistant engineer. I have been sailing 17 years now, been all over the world and on various ships, and I am presently sailing as the Chief Engineer of the USNS Effective. my husband, Rodney grew up. I still go to Connecticut and visit family and friends. One of my best friends to this day is Carolyn (Long) Whewell. When I do go to CT I try to find my way over to Libbs for breakfast.
I was just mentioning to Carolyn last week about trying to get our class of 1987 together for our 25th anniversary(in 4 years). We tried 10 years...but not too many people were interested, although it was fun, only about 10 or so of us showed up.
