Renee's Story
My husband Eric and I just welcomed are first child into the world on September 3, 2009 it was a little boy who we named Peyton Bryce. He weighed 6 ibs 15 ozs and 20 inches long. He was diagnosed with Retinoblastoma (cancer of the retina) on September 15, 2009 and we have been to St. Jude and spent 8 weeks there getting treatment started. chemo therfor his sight has been saved. He will have chemo till the middle of May 2010. This cancer is a hereditary cancer and my husband had it as a child and is fine today and has had no other problems. Peyton is doing things that a normal health baby would do. We don't think of him being sick. He has a head full of hair when he was born but has lost some due to the chemo but not much and want he has lost is going back.
