If you succeed there are many rewards, if you disgrace yourself you can always write a book. Ronald Reagan Politics is supposed to be the second oldest profession. I have come to realize that it bears a very close resemblance to the first. Ronald Reagan The nine most terrifying words in the English language are, 'I'm from the government and I'm here to help.' Ronald Reagan Thomas Jefferson once said, 'We should never judge a president by his age, only by his works.' And ever since he told me that, I stopped worrying. Ronald Reagan "Recession is when your neighbor loses his job. Depression is when you lose yours. And recovery is when Jimmy Carter loses his." Ronald Reagan As you can very well see, I loved this guy. --- Rey". More about Rey:"I was born in Chicago during the Roaring Twenty's. How lucky can you get? In my early years I worked in the printing business starting at 14. I always liked things that went fast so it just was natural for me to learn to fly. I kept working in the printing business to pay for my pilot training. By the time I was in my twenty's I was a Flight Instructor. I did this during the daytime and at night I kept advancing myself in the printing business. By the time...Expand for more
I was thirty I was Chief Pilot Of FAA Approved Flight Schools and was running some of the largest printing presses in Chicago. So large I had an eight man crew to help me run it. I was married at 23 to Gloria Gae Perry she was twenty. We had the three girls by the time I was 28 and were well into the routine of raising a family. At the age of forty I took a full time job as a pilot flight and Instructor this was about 1967. I had been a printer for 25 years by then and I just had to get away from it. I guess I just wanted to see the far away places with the strange sounding names. I took a twenty thousand a year cut in pay and did that with Gloria's consent. She was an eternal Optimist. She always had so much faith that I could do anything. I just could not fail, and run the risk of loosing my only cheer leader. When I was 42 Gloria had a surprise for me She was she was pregnant. A son was born 11-22-69. My cousin Carl wrote and said "Man Lands On The Moon, Wriggly Field Gets Lights and Rey Has A Son. Up Till, that time I always had a lot of questions when I got home and found the toilet seat up. LOL I thought I would be dead by the time he became an adult. After all when I was born a male's life expectancy was only 62. Well needless to say all those statistics were wrong. I was able to live long enough to see him through college. Through Medical School. A General Surgery Residency. A hand Surgery Fellowship. Get Married. Now Eric and his wife Heather five children under seven. I still like speed. I Ride Motor Cycles Fly, Airplanes but i had to get rid of my SEA DOO as it was starting to get to my back. I get around the country in my Ford Truck which I have put 135,000 miles on in three years. I thank God every day that everything still works very well. I don't deserve it as I did nothing to make it happen. It has got to be Gods Grace and Plan.".
