Retta's Story
Things are not always a "yes" or "no"....could have been some in-between answers in that survey of questions.
I have nine grandchildren and a lot of those things...I like to do with them (cards, board games, movies). We live in a cabin now at Burr Oak and they like to come down here and visit and we hike, ride 4-wheelers, etc. They are all so different and each one has been such a blessing.
I try to go to their events - even though it is a couple of hours away for us to travel to get there. I am very proud of each and every one of them and love to spend time with them. I know they will want less of me as they get older and become more ...Expand for more
involved in their activities.
I have retired from the Department of Rehabilitation and Correction (about 4 years ago). It was an interesting career, but I have adjusted well to retirement. I worked in the Warden's office so there was hardly a dull moment.
Can't believe we are getting ready for our 45th year class reunion!! How did we get this old this quickly?????
I always wanted to be a teacher when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a good idea. As it turns out, they were not surprised that things changed. Got married one year out of high school. Spent four years in the Air Force - traveling to different locations. .
