Reuben's Story
Life
Well, it's been some time since I last entered anything. Since then, quite a few changes have occured in my life. After 13 years of being a divorcee' I have remarried. Never did make it to Physicians Asst' school, thank god, cause it eventually led me to my niche in medicine, ermergency medicine!!! I was working as an Flight EMT and had thought to finally get my Paramedics License,
however, several of the medics I worked with said that there was nothing wrong with being a medic, but it limits what you can do. So, I've taken their advice and am back in school, (Can you believe it, at my age?) working on an Nursing degree. Actually, once I'm done, I'll go back to flying MEDEVACS, but with more knowledge, and more pay. Plus, when or if I ever feel like doing something else in medicine, I'll have the flexibility to move to a different area of medicine with ...Expand for more
no problem. I feel certain I'll eventually go for my masters and teach. I am now re-married to a beautiful and wonderful wife named "Nina" and we are also currently in the final stages of adopting a little girl. Our kids are grown and on their own. We currently live in Silver City, New Mexico where I am attending Western New Mexico University. Looking at the photo albums really made me wish I'd made it to the reunions. However, since I left Long Beach in "81", I've actually been back there a few times. The last time was in "97". I'm hoping to take a short trip there during the Christmas break if my wife can break away from work. Some years back I managed to get ahold of Verne Welch and Richard Gubany but haven't talked to anyone for some time, with the exception of Tom Ortega and Anthony Gorospe.
