Revonda Bowles:  

Life I am originally from Maryland and lived in West Virginia for seven years. I played music since I was four years old starting with the piano and then moved to the fiddle. The day after graduation, I returned to Maryland and worked on a ranch. Then, I moved to Statesville, North Carolina where my cousin, Angie Bowles, and I shared an apartment. I stayed there for a little while and then moved to Greensboro, NC. I graduated from the New York City based John Casablancas School of Modeling and was a professional model. It was during this time that I auditioned for the soap opera 'One Life to Live'. I modeled for a while and then, I came back to Statesville, and married Lonnie Roberts (IHS 1981). He pastors a church in Statesville and we have the best church members that anyone could ever ask for. Most of them are from McDowell County, so it's really like home away from home. I won a college scholarship and majored in computer programming. I got really bored with that, so I got back into music and began to front my own band, Revonda Roberts & Harvest Wind.
