Rheba's Story
I have been a singer since I was 10 yrs old and most thought I would be one when I grew up. Have been in many talent shows when younger. Had blonde hair in High School and younger. Have had red hair for 20 yrs now. I have an Accounting Degree and love to do taxes. I have been a foster parent for 10 years now. I also work with children in the public school system at elementary and intermediate school age, who need help choosing the appropriate way to act and behave in school and society. I have been divorced for 19 years now and he has since deceased. God has blessed me and I am very active in Church. I live my life for HIM. I try to be an encourager for those around me. I like to go to yard sales, thrift stores, flea markets. I like the movies, going out to eat, cooking out with family and friends. I enjoy the Theater, concerts and like a variety of music. I never meet a stranger and feel comfortable in most economical settings. I have three grandchildren and one on the way. If I won $100 million I'd pay my home and car off and give them away. I would pay our church's debts off. I would set up a fund for needy children so they could go on school trips. I would pay my sister, brother and the debts of my children off and give money to my nieces and nephews and then I would invest the remainder. I would take trips, but I would most likely continue to work if I could, because I love what I do. love the styles of the 60's. They are back and I want to dr...Expand for more
ess that way again, but I am now 63 and some of them just dont work. I think they are ok, but others do not. If I could change one thing about my life, I would have become a Singer. That's what I was called to do. But now God has given me another chance and I get to work with Kids that others do not want to, so GOD is good and gives us another chance.
I have raised three foster children and my Birth daughter and son. My youngest foster son wants to become a missionary and my birth son plays for Church of the Highlands, writes music and sings, plays guitar, drums and keyboard. My daughter is wonderful. Ashley, Mark, her husband, Covan, my foster son and Ashleys three children and I live together. Tyler, my grandson and Covan graduate next year and when they move out, we plan to buy a house in Moody with a basement apt for me. Already looking. I am working 2 more years and plan to retire and travel.
My best friend of all times was Daryl Cooper. I wonder where she is and what she is doing. Kids today do not understand how to be a best friend. Back then we did. Other good friends in school were, Harold Stringfellow, Sherry Garret, Brenda Collin, Elaine Whatley, LaDale Whorton, Fred Roberts. I miss the DD 500, Bonaza Burger, Sat. Movies, Haynes Drug Store, Miller Music. Those were the days. We actually did things, not sit on the couch and play games all day. Life was simpler and calmer.
