Life hmmmmm what to say about "me". I guess my big claim to fame right now is that I met Erik Estrada this past Saturday! I know I wasn't the only one in the late 70s/early 80s to have those posters of Ponch on my wall~! I was going to the PX (that's a STORE for you 100% civilian types!), and a Marine asked me if I liked chips. I thought he was drunk, or maybe I was on Candid Camera, so I gave an uncomfortable laugh and started to walk away. He pointed behind me...and when I turned to look, I'll be danged if it wasn't Erik Estrada - in the flesh, and less than 50 yards away from me! All of a sudden, I was 12 again, and I went up to him and told him I had kissed him good night EVERY night for YEARS...believe it or not, but it's true.....he reached for me, said, "well how bout some kisses now?!?" - and DIPPED me - OMG! I almost fainted. Funny how childhood crushes can lie dormant for so long - and then cause the same reactions in a 39 yr old that they had in a 12 yr old! Once I got over my initial shock - I stood there and talked to him for about half an hour - most of it one-on-one...it was the coolest thing ever!!! He did give me an autograph (yes I am an autograph collector - nerdy...yes! Do I care about being a geek? never have before, why would I start now?!? :op) My autograph reads...."To Lovely Rhonda, Thanks for the kisses, Erik Estrada <heart>"-hey! I had to wait 27 years to meet my childhood crush - and yes I will act as childish as I want to LOL!!! :o) p.s. he looks AWESOME at 56 - he was driving a Rolls-Royce with plates that read "02 PAPO" - his call sign if I recall correctly!
