Rhonda's Story
Ronnie and I have been married for 45 yrs. We have a daughter, Camela 43 and a son, Adam 36 and married. Camela and her husband Tim have a 12 yr. old daughter, Ashley and a boy 8 who is named Timothy Chandler Hodsdon. My parents moved from Fayetteville down to Jacksonville 10 yrs ago. I was in the 2nd grade when we moved into our house and went to Hunicutt Elem. Those were the days you could go to a friends house and your mother didn't have to worry about you being kidnapped. I use to think the kids that lived in Trailer Town across the road from Westarea Elem. were so lucky. I don't know exactly why I felt that way, but life was a whole lot simple...Expand for more
r in those days. I believe Westarea was made up mostly of Kids from Kornbow. I always thought that was a weird name for a housing development until I found out it use to be a corn field. I've been doing a lot of reminesing about my childhood since my parents decided to sell their house. It makes me think just how short our lives are. But... I'm going to enjoy my parents living close by now for as long as I can. What a blessing! My father passed away with alzheimers in Oct .2016. We miss so much, but we know he is in heaven with his Lord Jesus. We know that we will see him again one day because we all know Jesus as our Lord and Savior. Praise God!!
