Rhonda's Story
I moved to PC, Florida in 1982 in the middle of my 9th grade year, went to Rutherford HIgh from 1982 to 1985. Moved back to Indiana in January of my senior year. I graduated with a class I didn't even know. I probably knew about 8 people in my class.
After graduating from high school I jumped from job to job always going to a higher paying job, mostly in retail. I got married June 2, 1989, in November of 1992 I gave birth to my beautiful daughter and then in June of 1994 I gave birth to my handsom son. They are both wonder children. I was a stay at home mom for 6 years of their lives and then my marriage fell apart and my husband and I were divorced June 1, 2000.
I had to find a job quick. With no college degree I landed a job managing Convenient Stores. I did that for 3 years, left to go work in as an office manager for a company who after 2 months closed the doors, I then went back to convenient stores. Af...Expand for more
ter 2 more years with the same company,and being robbed 3 times, two of those times at gun point, the company filed bankruptcy and closed. I then became a Corrections Officer for an all mens prison. Actually it was an all level catagory prison, we dealt with murders, rapist, non-child support payers, we were the highest level of prison there is. After a year of that I went back to managing convenient stores. I did this again for 2 more years, moved in with my boyfriend and started going back to school to obtain the education I should have gotten 25 years ago. I now have my Associates Degree in Business Management and presently working on my Bachelors Degree in Business Administration with only six more classes to take to complete it. I work contract work as an Admin for a company that goes around providing Periodic Health Assessments for the service members. I travel to many different states and love what I do.
