Ric's Story
Hello Classmates,
After graduating from Mission High I joined the US Army. I did 6 years in the military. During my time in the military I met a young lady from Indiana, fell in love and got married. We had two sons, got out of the military and returned back to the valley. I then attended the Police Academy and became a Police Officer with the Pharr Police Department. After 10 years with the PD, I joined the US Customs Service and worked at the Hidalgo/Pharr International Bridge. We stayed in the valley (Mission) for the next 18 years, until my youngest son graduated. I then took a transfer to Detroit Michigan and worked on the Canadia...Expand for more
n Border for the next 3 years. Since my boys were living in San Antonio, Texas I requested a transfer back to Texas. I accepted a new position as a Federal Police Officer with the Federal Protective Service in Houston, Texas. I figured a two and half hour drive beats a six hour flight anytime. I am still married to the same lady. Have been for the past 24 years, and I am now a grandfather of a wonderful grandson and a beautiful granddaughter. God is good. As my wife says, ¿we are blessed¿. Anyway, I¿ve decided to make Houston my home and hope to retire in the next ten years. If you guys remember who I am, drop me a line¿.
