Ricci's Story
Let's see I am still in Atwater Never left. I married Nila Nix in 1981, we had a beautiful wedding totally traditional Portuguese Catholic wedding and 11 months later our son was born, he will be 28 in April. Like many others ,it wasn't meant to be.and we divorced. I also have 17 yr old twin boys, and I have the most beautiful grand daughter in the world her name is Rosemary she is 4, going on 20 and we have an unspoken connection and are extremely close and a grandson named Kody he is 3. I was lucky and got to name them both.
I have had a few jobs I was manager of a pet shop, Foster Farms for 12 years,made some very good friends, in fact I meet my best friend there we have been friends for over 30 years, she is godmother to my twins. The next job I got I still have, I have managed a Mobile Home Park for 23 years , I've been very lucky i have NEVER been unemployed, raising 3 kids on my own wasn't easy but I did it. emarried, my kids didn't want a STEP mother? Well they are grown and I have started to look again I'm told I'm to picky? In March2007 I got an infection in my leg and had to have surgery. Then in Oct 2007 I got up from bed and couldn't walk, I ended up in the hospital in a coma, and had to have both legs amputated, all the way up, Then after the coma about 2 weeks later My Mom was killed in a car accident, I was still in the hospital. BUT that little girl I spoke of got me through it. And her brother was born 3 weeks after I came home.And the two of them are the lights of my life.It has been hard, really hard but I have made it this far. And a few month back I met a former class mate, not from our class, and she is very special to me.And my grand kids love her. She is very kind and caring person and I am very happy she is in my life.
