Rich's Story

Graduated from Morenci High School in 1965. USAF 1968-1975. Stationed at Hickam Air Force Base in Honolulu, Hawaii from 70-75. Married in 1970 to Darla from Rapid City, S. Dakota and have 3 offspring (2 sons & 1 daughter) & have 5 grandchildren. Graduated from the University of Hawaii in 1975. Relocated to Denver, Colorado in 1975, have grown roots here with zero plans to leave. We enjoy the 4 yearly Seasons, particularly Spring & Fall. My business career was concentrated in Sales & Management in the Medical, Dental and Micro Computer companies which required an intensive entrepreneurial spirit & stubbornness. s. Playing competitive tennis is my passion. In 2013, my doubles partner & I won the Colorado State Tournament in our age 65-70 bracket, and successfully defended our Title in 2014... In 2021 my dubs partner & I came in 2nd in the Denver City Open in the 70-75 bracket & Won this same bracket in the Colorado State Open a couple of months later……. In June, 2022 I won the 75 - 80 bracket in Denver City Open & in Sept I won the CO State 75 - 80 bracket. Also, in the summer of 2022, I captained a 65+ men’s tennis team named Los Locos and won the Colorado State Title and headed to Sectionals in St George, Utah to represent Colorado.. 2022 was a very successful year and plans are in motion to go further in 2023!!!
