Rich's Story

Life After high school I went to college in Louisiana, ran out of money after a year and went back to Acton. Pumped gas at Bursaw for a year, got in trouble, then joined the Navy for six years (big mistake) Saw 17 countries including Haiti, Somalia, and a little of Kuwait during the gulf war. After I finished my sea service I started competing in Triathlons. I then got out of the Navy 96 and ended up in Northern Virginia where I still live. I was a professional and competed in two Ironman Triathlon World Championships in Hawaii. I traveled 5 or 6 times a year around the country and the world for races. I also went back to school for information systems and now work as an I.T. ma...Expand for more
nager. After knee and shoulder surgery I am not competing like I did a 5 years ago. It is less often and just for fun. I worked at the Pentagon for the Marine Corps as a Federal Employee. I was in charge of a few I.T. systems there. In May 08 I decided I needed a life change from the uptight D.C. area. I picked up and moved to Austin, TX. I have been here for about 7 weeks and love it! I can not believe I waited so long to move out of the D.C. area. Everyone is very laid back and is in great shape. It is a little hot but I am getting us to that. I am still single and living life to the fullest. My mother and sister still live in Framingham. I am in MA. once or twice a year.
