Rich's Story
Life
During the past 36 years since graduation, I've been married 3 times. JoAnne Benware (1976-1980); Sherry Kamke (1984-1998) and Claudia Planke (2003-present). They say the third's the charm. While I was sorry things didn't work out between JoAnne and me, the only good thing that came out of my second marriage was my 2 blessings, Erica and Stuart. Erica is 23 and Stuart is 21.
After High School, I fumbled around in college for a couple of years. To help feed my drinking habit, I landed a job at King's Crown Liquor Store in 1974 and a year later I was hired by IBM for reasons still unknown to me. Fortunately I became clean and sober in 1979 and continue a life in sobriety today. I met my wife Claudia in 1999 and we were married on Jekyll Island, GA on Feb. 23, 2003.

fliction with Multiple Sclerosis; I was forced to leave IBM, after working there for 30 years; in June of 2005. Erica graduated from SUNY Albany this past spring and is working for a counsiling firm in Albany. Stuart is working as a landscaper while attending Dutchess Community College. Claudia's daughters Leslie and Tonirose are also working and attending college. Nikki, our youngest, is in beginning her Junior year at Highland High School. I'm counting the days until she graduates so we can head to parts south where the climate will be kinder to my ravaged bones. In the meantime, I live each day writing and playing music, painting, touring the countryside on my motor cycle, hanging with my pal Charlie "the Pug", and most of all enjoying the love and joy I share with my best friend and Soul Mate, Claudia.
