Rich's Story
Hello Harbor High class of 1972, a lot has happened in our World since 1972.
Here is a short story on my life adventure.
When I was in High School, I was a "Wild Child" I rode motorcycles and took a few drugs.
I never studied and should not have graduated.
When I was 19 and the Viet Nam Draft was still going (Nov 1973) my birthday was picked about number 20 from what I remember.
To avoid the draft, I enlisted in the Air Force. In the Air Force I became an EMT and Emergency Room Paramedic.
This was the best thing that I did in my life, as it allowed me to transform.
Why? It led to going to College which changed my life.
You may be thinking at this point...that I was the least ...Expand for more
likely person in our class to go to College!
When I got out of the service I went to Cabrillo. I had to take many classes that I should have in High School.
After failing Algebra many times in High School...Math just clicked.
When I finished at Cabrillo, I had a 3.8 GPA in Calculus, Physics and Engineering.
I transferred to Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo, where I graduated in HVAC, Solar and Refrigeration Engineering.
I am living in Salt Lake City Utah. I teach Fly Fishing and play lots of golf.
I just joined Classmates 7-16-22. I do not plan on attending the reunion this year.
If you want to reach me...I guess Classmates does not allow e-mails of phone numbers.
Thanks Rich Lob
