Rick's Story
After high school, I attended flight school and college at Florida Tech. I received a Bachelors of Science in Aeronautical Science, along with several pilot certificates and ratings. While in Florida, I married a girl from the Florida pan handle and had a beautiful and wonderful daughter, Kelsey. We moved to Illinois where my wife was attending graduate school and we had a second beautiful and wonderful daughter, Kelley. After nine years together, we divorced.
I attended law school in Chicago to begin my second, if not third life, where I met Donna, my new wife. We had my third child and first son, Maverick, who is wonderful and amazing.
I have been practicing law in a variety of areas, including Admiralty, International Business, Transportation, Land Use, Condemnation, Product Liability, Complex Commercial and Civil Litigation and Appellate Law. One of my favorite stories involves trying to seize a foreign nuclear powered fishing vessel, while docking in Lake Michigan.

for several years, I have been persuaded to transition my practice to family law. My clients frequently tell me that my hard work and compassion makes a difference to those families and children who are involved in my cases. I have also assisted the courts in advocating for the best interest of abused and neglected children as a CASA volunteer. In 2006, I merged my practice with a boutique family law firm in the heart of the Chicago Loop. In 2010, we relocated to Florida due to Donna's employment.
I spend most of my free time with my family. My oldest daughter is now in high school and is part of her school's concert band, softball team and color guard. My younger daughter and son act like best friends, even though they see one another often. Most people mistake them as twins. I also have enjoyed coaching my son's outdoor soccer teams in the fall and spring and indoor soccer teams for many years. Maverick has since moved on to playing lacrosse and percussion instruments.
