Sometimes I think people confuse the depth of one's love for another with distance. The depth of one's soul should not be confused with distance from another's heart.
Oddly enough, if I USE God as my only tool for whether I'm wrong, he seems to agree with me most of the time and, rather oddly, almost always finds that the other person is persecuting me and that I need to forgive them. And, I suppose if I knew how to forgive myself (and myself), I probably wouldn't need to spend my time worrying about how the other person has wronged me.
Allowing the sincerity of my conduct to be considered by another is a responsible act. Choosing the wrong person to do that with is irresponsible. Conscience allows me to decide on an honest confession to the right person.
(On Divorce) Evil is real and its name is Fear. Fear's currency ... pride, shame, despair. Goodness is real and its name is Love. Love's currency ... Peace, Hope & Faith.
Responsibility comes from asking yourself the right questions. Blame comes from asking your 'enemy' the same questions you should have asked yourself. Choose to be responsible in all that you are given.
God doesn't expect us to "earn" his love: He just expects to do what we promised to do when we agreed to believe in Him.
You certainly can't run from who you are and only you can decide what to do with what you are. Success or defeat is sometimes just one decision away.

Are we supposed to leave Church wondering what God can do for me? Or, should we be wondering about what can I do for others? Do I simply receive the fruit of the vine, or do I produce it for others so that my Maker might be honored?
Do you think in a language? What if we had to change the language of our thoughts to those of a true Christian? What a great dialectic that would be.
No Christian should be caught dead in failing to serve others.
