Life
Was always called Dick in school. Lived in Gilchrist from the 4th grad until graduation in 1967. Joined the Army in April 1968 and was released in 1971. Attended a couple years of college and then married Martie Poole. Time to go to work. In 1973 joined the Oregon State Police and spent 26 years in this employment. Retired in 1999 as a Detective in Springfield. Just enjoying retirement. We have a son and daughter, Rick and Shelly, along with six grandchildren. All the brothers and sisters are spread out. Kris in Cleveland, Ohio, John in Grants Pass, Julie in Washington, and Sherri in Nevada. Would love to hear from anyone who went to Gilchrist. Great school and times. Martie and I are now living in Enterprise, Ore. Son and daughter live here along with our seven grandchildren. That will keep you half young just trying to stay up with them. Martie's mother lives with us so that kind of keeps us tied to the home ground to keep her company. Love to fish and hunt and this is a great place for that. Other than that just having fun
