Hello all, After H.S. and an unsuccessful year at college, I kicked around on L.I.for 6-7 years with many jobs, mostly as a restaurant manager, and then as owner. I left L.I. in 1971 and came to Schenectady, N.Y. I've been here ever since. In 1970 I learned there was a way to become a licensed attorney in N.Y.S. by passing the bar exam., without college or law school. One needed to work four years as a law clerk in a private law office. That made me eligible to take the bar exam. Knowing no one in Schenectady, I found a job as a clerk, worked the four years ('72-'76), took and passed the bar exam.
