Richard's Story
My wife, Barbara, passed away in November from COPD. I closed down my art gallery a year ago May to spend quality time with my wife. Decided I had enough of the California craziness and will be closing on my home in August. Currently scrambling to find a home to buy somewhere in the Northeast (VT/NH/ME). Going to get back to family; two adorable grand daughters, Ella and Seraphina, my son, Ricky, in Connecticut and my daughter Emily, who is food/beverage/special events manager for a boutique hotel in Providence.
Among other recent events, my Mom passed in August 2012. My Dad passed this May at age 93. He will be buried with my mom at the Veterans Cemetery in Exeter. Brother Bob is battling leukemia. Randy passed a while ago from a heart attack (way too young). Robin is a designer for California Closets and lives in FL. Paula is an administrator for a hospital in New London. J...Expand for more
on.remarried and his job just transferred him to PA.
I am looking forward to getting back to nature; living in a town of 8000 rather than a city of 200,000. I will set up a nice studio space and concentrate on my creative endeavors. I have been experimenting with a number of mediums and recently got into sculpture. I got back into writing poetry and have been submitting to a number of competitions in the hopes of getting published. I may revise my non-profit and look to either set up an artists cooperative or another gallery. For those of you familiar with the Quonset Air Museum, I was one of the founding member before making the change to CA.
I have had to do a lot of adjustment getting back into being a bachelor. Once the dust settles back East I may give dating another whirl. That's about it. I'd love to hear from anyone caring to say "hello".
