Richard's Story
After high school spent 4yrs in naval seabees [construction battalion] station in Rhode Island, then Newfoundland, then 28 months in Bermuda, after first 12 months came home married my wife and lived off base in Bermuda. We live off base in Wickford,Rhode Island. Finished up my 4yr tour there in Davisville Naval Station. Had our first son, 2 weeks before discharge. the teamsters, drove a concrete mixer for 15yrs co. closed, so I drove general frieght in NJ and NYC FOR 10 yrs before taking my pension. I then worked 14yrs for archdicese of Newark, as head of maintenance in a church and school in Washington Township, Our Lady Of Good Councel, retired completely in 2000.
We have resided in Cliffside Pk, Lodi, and then bought a house in Ridgefield where we lived for 33 yrs before I retired and moved here in Forked River in 2000.
