I have never had a job as rewarding or satisfying as this one. Dick Blick Holdings, Inc. is an art supply company that has a strong internet and catalog presence. We are now establishing and growing our Retail stores. We have also acquired one of our competitors (The Art Store), and have ALOT of work to do now.
I am the National Retail Store Opening Coordinator for the company. My job consists of developing the new store floorplan, coordinating the fixture/display/supply orders for it, and then traveling to the job site and helping to build and set up the store. I LOVE I...Expand for more
T!!! I supervise about 20 people when I'm on site, and the travelling gives me flyer miles and stuff, and the company pays for almost everything concerning the travel... I make good money at it too.
We are actually expanding our corporate offices as we speak, and are looking for art majors to fill in as Category Buyers and work with our vendors. The Retail Development Team (of which I am a member) is also growing and in need of more people. This is a company that has been around for about 90 years, and is still growing.
