Richard's Story
Life
I went to elementary school and started junior high in Moses Lake, Washington. In 1963, when I was in the 8th grade, my family moved to Lacey. I graduated from North Thurston High School in 1968. I went to the UW with a lot of my high school classmates. During my freshman year there, I ran into a former classmate from Moses Lake, who told me that one of my friends from Moses Lake, Mary, had moved to Olympia. I looked her up then.
After I graduated from college, I started law school at the University of Oregon in Eugene. A year later Mary started med school at UW. I transferred to the UW, and while we were both still in school, we married in 1974.

actice residency was in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, so we moved there for three years. In 1980 our son was born.
We moved back to Olympia after Mary's residency and have been here ever since.
I am a partner in the law firm of Morgan and Bartholomew, which began in 1983. Mary is a family doc in town. We have two adult children, one of whom teaches English to Japanese middle schoolers in Japan.
We love traveling, as you can see from the pictures I have posted. The picture of me holding the monkey was taken in the Amazon basin of Peru in the spring of 2007. We have also been to Egypt, Jordan, China, Thailand, and various places in Europe.
I would love to hear from classmates!
