Richard's Story
Attended Macalester College and Bethel Seminary. Taught German at St. Paul Central and Monroe. Was ordained by the Presbyterian Church 1976 and worked at Valley Community Pres. Church in Golden Valley, MN, and at First Pres. in Napa, CA. Moved to Switzerland in 1981 where I pastored churches in S-chanf/La Punt Chamues-ch, St.Gallen, Teufen and Linthal. Thal. In 1988 I married Irma Steccanella and her son Thomas from St.Gallen. Five years ago our grandson Lino was born. Besides traditional parish work I was led the church radio work in St.Gallen after local radio was allowed in Switzerland in the mid 80s. I directed the cantonal church newspaper in the Reformed Church of Appenzell and was a member of the commission publishing the cantonal church newspaper in Glarus.
