Richard's Story
My story for Classmates is in progress. Stay tuned for all the exciting highlights of my life as it turned out. Hahahhah Can I put in the bad stuff too?

I've been a member of Classmates now for a few weeks and I have yet to really make contact with anyone from my past at William James, Poly or Eastern Hills here in Texas and although I'm wanting to connect to my past, I feel this strange sensation that I'm roaming around a ghost town of sorts. Sadly, I feel there is no spirit.......so prove me wrong!
I wrote Classmates.com and in essence, asked them if anyone really took this site very seriously and although I have not had a reply, I think somehow I know the answer to that question already. This site promised to connect you with old classmates that you've lost touch with, stating a number of "new" members that have signed on seeking the same thing I'm seeking but I have yet to meet them.
I know that I had many friends from my past that I spent years of time with that would remember me as I remember them and be able to give me some insight into what happened to to all of these people that we remember and look back upon with such great fondness.
Maybe it's not such a good thing to look back. Who knows? ...Expand for more
But at least I'm giving it the old college try as they say and I would love to connect with old friends once more and learn about the life they've lived and quite possibly, what we may still have in common as an interest to walk down that lane everyone comes to in the path of their lives, that being "Memory Lane".....LOL Is that too corny???

I'm starting to definately think that I'm in a ghost town here. Aptly put since Halloween is right around the corner. It's like no one ever checks their mail. I've tried to make contact with several of my classmates but it's obvious that no one monitors this web site and I'm sure that not everyone from my class is dead, although that could be the case for the unfortunate. I hate spending the time to do all of this work in hopes of reviving some freindships and finding out how my fellow classmates lives turned out and what they're doing now etc. etc. so I have to decided whether or not to stay here if no one ever visits the class of '68.

I'm checking out of Classmates......what a waste of cash for all the promises that were made. This web site will sadly, crumble. The navigation of the site has been poor and this is a Ghost Town Man. Catch me on Facebook should anyone ever want to get in touch.
