Richard's Story
Moved to Picton in 1971, working for the province, as a residential counsellor. Most others who transferred/moved here from Orillia, returned. (Semi-retired and work p/t in same job) We raised 3 daughters. Joined the local fire department and still an active member. Joined the EMS and worked as a paramedic (non-EMCA) for 20 yrs; and retired a year ago from the OPP Auxilary. One of very few who worked in all 3 emergency fields, at the same time....Expand for more
Active volunteer member of Global Medic (globalmedic.ca). <-- there is training each spring if interested in volunteering. Have been to 6 countries now for globalmedic. Providing medical and enabling the people to produce clean safe drinking water, and how to make compressed earth brick homes.
