Richard's Story
Hi Everyone..I am blessed! I've been married 36 years to a wonderful lady (Terri)that graduated from Ysleta High. I have three grown children, two sons (Vinnie & John) and a daughter (Leah). I really enjoy hanging out with all of them. Whenever we are together (the boys live out of town), we laugh a lot and spend quite a bit of time around the kitchen table. My wife is an incredible cook. In addition, I'm a proud grandfather of four grandchildren. I joined the Air Force in 1976 with plans to return to El Paso after my enlistment. Things didn't work out the way I planned, the Lord had other plans for us. I've been employed in the IT field with a large corporation for the past 29 years. We presently reside in the Houston area and have lived in Austin and College Station and have friends in both cities. I'm a devout Christian and I serve an awesome God. We belong to a great church in Houston where we serve in various ministries. ...Expand for more
We try to get back to El Paso as often as possible. I can never get enough of an El Paso winter day. The warm sunshine during the day and then the drop in temperature once the sun sets. The star on the mountain is beautiful. We usually drive to El Paso, I continue to enjoy the drive through the desert. My parents live in my childhood home. They are doing well and enjoy spending time with them. I also have a sister and brother-in-law who live there and Terri has siblings that also live there. I still believe that El Paso has the best Mexican food and my favorite restaurant is the Lunch Box. It's located about a mile from Bel Air. I understand Bel Air Alums own the place. Terri and I enjoy attending Astro's baseball games and traveling to the California bay area to visit one of our sons.
