ical Engineering, Exploratory) before I found my niche in TCOM (Radio & TV)...Helped start a band called 'Voices' on campus, then helped start a concert and festival student volunteer association called 'Target Sound' and started and ran a vending streetcart called Cobs'N'Spuds...later, I joined a group called the Assoc. of Collegiate Entrepreneurs (ACE) and we needed a fundraiser to get the funds for our nat'l and internat'l convention in San Fran...I walked into the Mel Helitzer comedy class and asked if they would like to perform a comedy show interspersed with Jazz at the Templeton Blackburn Memorial Hall...We had a terrific show, although it went on for 3 hours...I ran around back stage trying to help the performers and host keep the show on-time, but when people are getting laughs, their routine somehow becomes longer...Would you believe we only charged three dollars...and had about 300+ people? We wound up flying out to the convention with one of the largest contingents of students of any school...
