Richard's Story
Life
Graduated Marshall 1960 then on to medical school at WVU, graduating in 1964. Internship at Ancker Hospital, St. Paul, Minnesota. Drafted 1965 and served in the Navy for two yars. Private practice in Mt. Vernon and Centralia, Illinois afterward. Married Darleen Riddlebarger and divorced in 1972. Remaried Janet Justice. Two children in the first marriage...Richard A, Marian E. Four children in the second marriage...Stephen R, Jessica J, Jennifer M and William S. Seven granddaughters. Enjoy hunting and fishing in my spare time and am an avid skeet and trap shooter. Plan to retire in May, 2009.

en retired for two years this May 1, following a traumatic head injury and concussion that took months to resolve. I actually feel well enough now to go back to work. My wife, Janet, is Dean of Nursing at Kaskaskia College and plans to retire this May and then we will probably travel a bit. Our son William (Bill) is in the Navy stationed on the USS Leyte Gulf out of Norfolk, Virginia. We are going to Williamsburg, Virginia this May for a "Mini-Reunion" of our HEHS Class of 1956 and had hoped to see Bill then, but he just got word that his ship is going to be out or port on maneuvers at the time we were going to be there. As our life is getting short, I want to meet with old friends once again and go over the good and the bad once again.
