Richard's Story

Well, I finally retired from 39 years in the Broadcast Television Industry as an Electronic Engineer and eventually as manager of Information Technology. It's nice to have some free time to do things I enjoy:reading science fiction, travel, and playing with my computers. Of course, I get "to do" lists from my wife of 40 years, so things aren't completely rosey. I spent a year in Denmark after 4 years in the Navy as an Electronic Technician,...Expand for more
and that is where I met and married my wife. Consequently, we travel to Denmark fairly often to visit my wife's relatives. For most of my life I have enjoyed running. I was a member of the Bakersfield Track Club and ran in many races down through the years. I injured my back about 10 years ago, and haven't been able to run since. I do, however still get enjoyment and some aerobic exercise from riding my bicycle 10 to 15 miles per day.
