12/15/19 RETIRED
4/8/11 Update: Since I retired in 2005 I started my own education/certification business here in CA. I tend to keep my business local in the Northwest and Hawaii though I can travel around the world if I chose to but who wants to work that hard after retiring from corporate. I don't so I keep it simple.
For fun my wife and I travel around in our RV and we plan a nice long RV trip this year to Yellowstone NP, Glacier and other NP's this year. I also like to fly fish a lot and we have some of the best waters here in N. CA.
Well, one of these days I'll have to post a pic up here for everyone.
BTW, does anyone know what happened or where Robert 'Bobby' Brooks is. We were good friends in H.S. and I have bee unsuccessful finding him.
END OF UPDATE 'TILL NEXT TIME
After working for the "Company" like many of us do I decided to retire and in fact retired three times over the course of the past five years. I've worked in the semi conductor industry, information technology, management, and software ventures. During this time I assisted in bringing three startup companies to public off...Expand for more
ering and finally decided I had enough of the corporate world.
I decided to start my own business and only have to work when I want to. It's called Swim Pool Safe and my website is swimpoolsafe.com. This leaves me with a lot of time to brew my own beer, go fly fishing throughout N. Caliifornia and Oregon, travel with my wife when we want to and just enjoy life and take it easy for a change.
We have three children. My oldest daughter is married and living in Las Vegas. My youngest daughter is living in the Bay Area on her own and my son is in the Army.
My wife and I recently sold our home in the Bay Area and purchased one in Northern CAlifornia from the proceeds from our prior home. It's great not to have a mortgage anymore!
I have two show cars that I enjoy taking to Hot August Nights in Reno, NV the first week of August. One is a custum '67 Chevelle SS that I built from the ground up and the other is a very clean original '87 Corvette I show at many corvette shows and both have been in the winners circle multiple times.
As soon as I can I will add pictures and additional information.
Cheers!
