Richard's Story
Life
While attending St. Francis X Cabrini Elementary school, we lived in several places in LA. The one I remember the most was on the corner of 115st and Van Ness Avenue. Just before graduating from Cabrini, the WATTS riots happened so after graduating in '67, we moved to Saugus, Santa Clarita Valley.
I attended Alemany High School for two years in San Fernando and then transferred to William S. Hart High in Newhall This is where I met Jan Poling in a History Class. We married when I entered the Air Force in '73, forced in by the looming draft due to the Viet Nam war.

s transferred to Limestone Air Base in northern Maine.
In '79 I exited the Air Force and took a job with Tennesse Valley Authority, working as a Instrument Technician at Sequoyah Nuclear Plant in Soddy Daisy.
In '85, I secured a job with Southern California Edison, at San Onofre Nuclear Station, again as a Instrument Technician until 2005 when I took a Supervisor position, which I hold currently.
Jan & I are still married, our hobbies include growing cactus and succulents, performing parrot rescue. (We have 12 birds - no more!) I also work on computers for fun.
Well, we got two more birds now.
2013 - Forced Retirement due to San Onofre Plant Closure, on now to different things.
