Richard's Story
I graduated from SUNY Oneonta in 1979. I married my current wife in 1980. I worked in Manhattan for two years and then attended Lehigh University to get my MBA. I coached soccer at Lehigh while in grad school. I continued on at Lehigh for my doctorate in economics, passed all the course work, but never finished my dissertation. Since the mid-1980's I have been teaching economics, finance, investments and a course about liberty. I have been at Monmouth College in Monmouth, IL for 13 years. I have two daughters. The older daughter will be entering the Ph.D. program in Chemistry at U of Utah in the fall of 2008. My younger daughter will be a junior at Coe College...Expand for more

I played soccer for many years after college and also coached youth soccer and softball. In addition to my teaching, I serve as the assistant coach of the Monmouth College women's soccer team.
I cycle seriously with the goal of beating Bob Dietz every year. I get back to CI every summer to see my brothers and their families.
I've been playing harmonica for 30 years, but still suck at it. I still hope to become a male model. When bald guys with big buttocks become the rage, my modeling career will take off.
My biggest accomplishment being from CI is never being arrested. I drive the back roads so...
