Richard's Story
Well after High School I work at Mare Island for a while then I went on to college for a few years. Got married for the first time and moved to Tahoe. I still call Tahoe home even though I have been back in Vallejo since '82. I visit there quite often. We had a daughter in '81 her name is Tiffany Rene. I got total custody of her in 84. I went on to be a Pro Bowler for about 6 years, until my knees gave out. I have had 6 operations on them so far they will need to be replaced in a few years. I was a Bowling Center Manager for a few different bowls in Nevada and California. I helped one of my all time best friends and also my Coach run a Pro Shop for 22 years. I run my own now as my friend died om May 11, 2002. That day is almost upon us again and I will say a prayer for him. I miss you Dorn. I met the Love of my life in 2000 and we finally got married in 2002 in Tahoe of course. Actually I noticed her in 1998 but the timing wasn't right for us , so I just kept being a friend until it was in 2000. had 3 children from her first marriage, they are Christopher Allen, Amber Nicole, and Steven Michael. What a great family I have. Tiffany gave us our first Grandchild in 2000, his name is Vincent Aaron, aka Bubba. My second Grandchild came in 2005 also from Tiffany, her name is Cristina Mae Richelle. We call her Tina, Tiffany gave her Richelle in honor of me. Thanks, Squirt. I got to walk Tiffany down the aisle in 2008, she married Bernie on Sept. 13th.
As for any news on me, well I am totally disabled from too much abuse on my back and knees through the years. I have Spinal Stenosis. It is the spinal coloumn closing on the spinal cord. I have it in two locations, my neck and lower back. I had surgery on my neck to releave some of the pressure. If my Doctor hadn't operated when he did I coulf have been a quadrapledgic. So far it has helped. The lower back there is nothing they can do for it. So I sit at home most of the time sometimes watching my Grandkids, waiting till my wife gets home from work, or reading.
