Richard's Story
After graduating from Irving High in 1971, I attended The University of Texas, graduating in 1975 with a BS in Architectural Engineering. I moved from Austin to take my first job in Houston.
In June, 1976, I married Carol Buckner, a 1972 graduate of Irving Nimitz. Carol teaches the upper level math courses at Irving High School, and has been the math department chair for several years.

ristian University with a general business degree. Our daughter, Meredith, was born in 1984. She graduated from UT with a chemistry degree. She continues to live and work in Austin. Both are still single.
After I worked in the structural design of steel buildings for a while, I had an opportunity to move into computer programming. I held a few different programming jobs over the years, but in 1994, I started CompuSoft, Inc. I had some full time employees at one time, but got tired of that and I decided to "go it alone". I am now a one-man shop, working out of our house.
